How the Cybersecurity Voucher works
Its purpose
The Cybersecurity Voucher is one of the Walloon Region's business vouchers. It funds a certified expert to audit or assess your company's cybersecurity, then to help you put in place a security policy that matches the needs identified.
Which companies
Self-employed people and SMEs, whether individuals or legal entities, whose main place of business is in Wallonia: fewer than 250 people, and either turnover below €50 million or a balance sheet total of no more than €43 million. Non-profit associations (ASBL) are not eligible; fishing, aquaculture and primary agricultural production are excluded. Digital-sector companies have been eligible since December 2022.
What is funded
Written advice and recommendations only: analysis, audit, action plan and support with its implementation. Actual delivery work (implementation, configuration, development) is excluded, as are legally required services and recurring advice.
Funding limits
The aid falls under the de minimis regime and ceilings add up: €50,000 excl. VAT over three years for the Cybersecurity Voucher, €70,000 excl. VAT over three years for the whole Digital theme, and €100,000 excl. VAT per calendar year across all business vouchers.
The process
A first application is filed by the certified provider on the business voucher platform. You validate it with your own account, sign the agreement, then pay your contribution through the issuer Pluxee within 30 days. The assignment only starts after that payment.
The scheme is changing: a new decree will reform the business vouchers from 1 July 2027, with rates and ceilings still to be set by the Walloon Government. The conditions shown here apply as of the verification date at the bottom of the page.
Cyber Praxis services concerned
These services are advisory and can fall under the Cybersecurity Voucher. Eligibility is checked for each case, before the application is filed.
Cybersecurity maturity assessment
A review of your security measures, weak points and priorities, delivered as a written report.
Risk analysis and assessment
Identifying critical assets, threats and risk scenarios, then prioritising the measures to take.
Organisational security audit
A review of roles, access rights, backups, supplier management and incident readiness.
Security governance and policies
Drafting or updating your information security policy and the procedures that follow from it.
NIS2 and CyberFundamentals support
Reading your obligations and gaps against NIS2 and the CCB's CyberFundamentals (CyFun) framework, within the limits of advisory work.
Improvement and remediation plan
A prioritised roadmap, then support while your teams or suppliers implement it.
Penetration tests, software licences, monitoring services (SOC) and technical work are not presented as eligible: the rules exclude actual delivery work. We can offer them separately, outside the voucher.

Frequently asked questions about the Cybersecurity Voucher
What is the Cybersecurity Voucher in Wallonia?
It is one of the Walloon Region's business vouchers. It funds part of the fees of a certified expert who audits or assesses your company's cybersecurity and then helps you put a security policy in place. Since the “Digital maturity” voucher was suspended in July 2026, it is the only voucher in the Digital theme still open.
Who can benefit from this aid?
Self-employed people and SMEs whose main place of business is in Wallonia: fewer than 250 people, and either turnover below €50 million or a balance sheet total of no more than €43 million. Non-profit associations are excluded, as are fishing, aquaculture and primary agricultural production.
What percentage of the services is funded?
75% of fees excluding VAT. Your company pays the remaining 25% and the VAT. The rules in force do not set a different rate by company size. The ceiling is €50,000 excl. VAT over three years for this voucher.
Which cybersecurity services are eligible?
Advisory work: a cybersecurity audit or assessment, risk analysis, policy drafting, an action plan and support with its implementation. Technical delivery (installation, configuration, development) is not covered, nor are legally required services or recurring advice.
Is Cyber Praxis a certified provider?
Yes. Cyber Praxis is listed in the official business voucher directory for the “Numérique – Chèque Cybersécurité”, with Jean-Pierre Heymans as the certified expert. The listing can be checked on cheques-entreprises.be.
How do I apply?
For a first application, the certified provider files the case on the business voucher platform. You validate it with your account, sign the generated documents (application, agreement, SME test, de minimis declaration) and pay your contribution through Pluxee within 30 days. The assignment then begins.
Can a NIS2 assignment qualify?
The official texts do not mention NIS2 or CyberFundamentals. They do fund cybersecurity audits and support in putting a security policy in place: a NIS2 or CyFun gap analysis, an action plan or policy drafting are advisory work of that kind. Because legally required services are excluded, whether an assignment linked to a NIS2 obligation qualifies is checked case by case, before applying.
